As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing food items and menu items in accordance with Alphaland and Alphelete Co. standards and guidelines. You will be responsible for the preparation of food for customers.
Essential Job Duties:
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare meal ingredients as directed
Prepares fresh produce by peeling, cutting, and portioning.
Prepares meat by trimming, cutting, and portioning.
Prepares simple dishes such as breads or salads.
Mixes or prepares condiments, dressings, and sauces.
Cook food in various utensils or grillers
Check food while cooking to stir or turn
Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards.
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies.
Assist in all projects assigned by management

Qualifications:
High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics such as food safety, preferred
Prior related experience preferred
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Ability to work in a team
Strong communication skills
Physical / Environmental Demands:
Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen
Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours
Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks
