Overview:

Pay Range: $24.00 - $26.00 an hour (DOE)
Shift: 9am - 5pm; Tuesday - Saturday
Location: 1470 E. Middle Ave, San Martin CA, 95046 (On-site)
Embark Behavioral Health is seeking a Cook to provide healthy and nutritious meals to our students. As the Cook, you will have the unique opportunity to prepare quality food, create a home like atmosphere, while fostering trusting relationships with our students and team.
Join us at Embark at our Short-term Residential Treatment Program in San Martin, serving adolescents ages 12 – 17 experiencing mental health issues.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare 2 meals each for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for clients and staff.
- Prepare mid-meal snacks, ensuring food is always readily available.
- Assist in food preparation and storage.
- Oversee the overall cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of the kitchen.
- Prepare food ahead of time for the following day's menu.
- Collaborate with residential staff to serve meals in a timely manner.
- Purchases and stocks groceries, manages inventories.
- Travels between homes (5 minute drive) delivering food.
- Help create a meaningful dining experience for our students.
Qualifications:

- Independent, skilled cooks who enjoy having an autonomous work environment.
- People with a servant heart who enjoy having a purpose behind the food they make.
- Skill in preparation of a variety of foods.
- Ability to adapt to special dietary needs of the clients.
- Comfortable working with adolescents in a treatment setting.
Required:
- Must be minimum 21 years old.
- Minimum of two years of cooking experience.
- A current Food Handler's Permit, and a valid Driver's License.
- Knowledge of health codes and proper sanitation.
