Job Summary: Prepares nutritious meals for inmates as mandated by law. Maintains a sanitary environment with the help of inmate workers under the Cook's supervision.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Prepares food for inmates and staff. Prepares trays to go to inmate populations, according to floor counts.* Maintains a sanitary kitchen with the help of inmate workers under the Cook's supervision.* Rotates stock and places food orders in correct storage areas.* Instruct inmates in proper sanitation of dishes and equipment.* Verifies special meals for special diets and prepares them.* Informs Food Service Manager of problems involved with kitchen operation.Work Requirements:* High School Diploma or equivalent.* Experience in Quantity food production required.* Requires a valid driver's license and adequate insurance as required by County Policy.
