Job Overview: As a Cook for the SMSC, you will produce food for Playworks, PW's Cafe, Wellness Programs, and Catering events. As part of the kitchen team, Cooks for SMSC Food Services will be asked to perform all elements of kitchen work including prep, service, and clean up. Cooks prepare food for three different types of service: ala carte café cooking for PW's Cafe, batch meals for Playworks and SMSC Wellness programs, and catering events. This position understands the importance of meeting USDA daily nutritional goals and meal patterns for children. Cooks must excel at teamwork, have flexibility, a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace, and a strong work ethic are all vital for success. Must enjoy working with children.
