Center for Human Development, (CHD), is currently looking for a Cooks to join our Juvenile Justice Programing with locations in Springfield, MA and Westfield, MA.
A little about our Juvenile Justice Programs:
Our facilities support adolescents who are committed to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, (DYS). Helping young men, aged 12 to 21, make a successful transition back to their home community. The team provides youth with numerous intensive services such as individual and family therapy, life skills and anger management groups, substance abuse treatment, and lead in the development of a strengths-based treatment plan and safety plan.
Your role as a Cook:
The cook works as part of a team that is responsible for the preparation and implementation of menus which meet the nutritional and other requirements of the Bureau of Nutrition; the cooking of meals; compliance with all local, state, and federal sanitation and hygiene codes; and individual or group work with residents engaged in vocational training. The cook will be supervised by the Kitchen Manager.

CHD is internationally accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. CARF is an organization that reviews and grants accreditation services nationally and internationally. CARF standards are rigorous, so services that meet them are among the best available.
