Hyatt Regency Lost Pines is seeking talented and experienced cooks to join our dynamic culinary team. As a valued member of our culinary team, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to an unforgettable dining experience for our guests. Our line cooks play a crucial role in our kitchen, requiring a blend of communication and culinary expertise. You will work across various stations, from appetizers to desserts, ensuring each dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes with precision and creativity.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and refine existing ones.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage multiple tasks and stations efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate service.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and advanced culinary knowledge in high-pressure situations.

• Proven experience in a hotel or high-end restaurant setting.
• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cooking ingredients, techniques, and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Requires great communication skills.
• 3+ years of previous line experience preferred.
• Culinary degree or related hotel experience is preferred.
• Candidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.
• Ability to work multiple stations in the kitchen.
• Requires moderate supervision and training, may be required to give direction in the absence of a supervisor.
