Position Summary

Under general supervision, this position provides professional guidance and assistance to the English Department with the development and publication of each semester's schedule of classes and special events. Provides advisement and training for the Department Chair and staff towards the effective development and implementation of all aspects of the Department's course and section scheduling, which includes face-to-face and online classes for the Fall and Spring semesters and the Summer and intersession sessions.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

• Experience and familiarity with working in higher education with an emphasis in scheduling and course policies and procedures;
• Strong ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines;
• Ability to analyze and solve problems independently;

• A demonstrated commitment to student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
