The Athletics Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Coordinator, Athletic Facilities. This position provides support for all event set-up and logistics within Athletics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Responsible for game set-up, court, and field preparation for various varsity sports.
  • Coordinate facility/ground maintenance schedules with team practice and competition for various varsity sports.
  • Supervise all logistical support staff, facility maintenance staff, custodial staff, graduate students and outside contractors.
  • Provide direct supervision for event staff, graduate students, and interns to include organization of work assignments, trainings, and liaison to custodial staff.
  • Work various events as needed to assist in event and game administration.
  • Primary contact for volleyball, beach volleyball, women's basketball and men's basketball for all Sports Arena practice and game activities.
  • Secondary contact for events at Center Parc Stadium and GSU Convocation Center.
  • Report progress, problems, and recommendations to the Senior Director.
  • Assist on site with Center Parc Stadium events like home football games and outside rentals.
  • Assist as needed with project management for major and minor capital projects.
  • Maintain on-going professional relationships and communication with tenants, user group, and volunteers for outside events.
  • Perform any other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Senior Associate AD for Facilities and Operations.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor''s degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $39,292 - $ 59,116. Salary offers will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications in relation to the Minimum Hiring Standards. Candidates earlier in their careers are typically offered salaries closer to the minimum of the hiring range, while those with more advanced or relevant experience may be considered for compensation at or above the hiring range.
