Program Manager - Body In White

Location: Long Beach, CA 
Work Schedule: Hybrid (4 Days Onsite Per Week)
Contract: W2 
Compensation: $38-40 per hour with benefits

Overview

Epitec is seeking a Program Manager - Body In White to support the execution of critical engineering programs within a fast-paced vehicle development environment. This role is responsible for overseeing program deliverables, tracking engineering milestones, monitoring part releases and material certifications, and providing visibility into overall program health.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in coordinating cross-functional teams while leveraging tools such as JIRA and Confluence to drive successful program execution.

Key Responsibilities

Program Tracking & Reporting

• Manage and maintain detailed tracking of part releases, engineering changes, and material certifications.
• Develop and update program timing plans, dashboards, and status reports.
• Monitor project progress and identify risks, delays, and dependencies.
• Communicate impacts and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
• Provide accurate, real-time reporting on overall program health.

JIRA & Confluence Administration

• Create and manage program boards, workflows, and dashboards.
• Maintain program documentation and ensure consistency across teams.
• Support process adherence through effective use of Confluence templates and documentation standards.
• Drive visibility and accountability for engineering deliverables.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate activities across engineering, supply chain, quality, and manufacturing teams.
• Facilitate program reviews, status meetings, and action item tracking.
• Ensure alignment on milestones, deliverables, and project objectives.
• Support issue resolution and execution of program plans.

Executive & Leadership Reporting

• Prepare executive summaries, timing updates, and program health metrics.
• Present concise status updates to leadership and project stakeholders.
• Support data-driven decision-making through accurate reporting and analysis.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of program or project management experience.
• Experience supporting technical, engineering, manufacturing, or product development programs.
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and related project management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing project schedules, timing, and budgets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within automotive, aerospace, engineering development, or manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with Body In White or hardware-focused engineering programs.
• Knowledge of part release processes and engineering change management.
• Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Understanding of Agile and/or Stage-Gate development methodologies.

Additional Details

• Hybrid role requiring onsite attendance 4 days per week in Long Beach, CA.
• Candidates must be available to work onsite from the beginning of the assignment.
• Remote-only candidates will not be considered.
