Job Title: Coordinator, Clinical Operations

Division: Pathology Clinical Operations

Work Arrangement: Onsite only

Location: Texas Medical Center, Houston, TX

Salary Range: $47,372 to $55,731

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Schedule: Flexible

Summary

This position is created to assist with the daily operational needs of the Baylor Pathology- West Bellfort lab and assist with the operational needs of affiliated Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Hospitals, as needed.

Job Duties

Performs daily quality assurance on patients demographics. (20%)

Monitors the two LIS for delayed cases on a daily base. (20%)

Assists with the monthly subspecialty schedule. (10%)

Assists with customer relations. (20%)

Checks the fax error log from the day before and ensure that the reports are delivered. (5%)

Requests clinical histories, as requested by the pathologists. (5%)

Assists pathologists with outside ancillary reports. (10%)

Assists pathologists with amendments and addendum reports. (10%)

Performs other tasks, as requested by the manager.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.

Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Medical Terminology in the field of Pathology.

Proficiency in using Microsoft software.

Previous experience in healthcare, including Anatomical Pathology.

Previous experience with customer relations.

Work Authorization Requirement: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
