Sunday - Thursday - 1st Shift (Day)

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Shift: Sunday - Thursday. Sunday 4:00am - 9:00am  Monday and Tuesday 8:00am - 6:30pm Wednesday and Thursday 8:00-5:00pm

Location: Tuggle Rd, Memphis, TN

 

General Summary

This position ensures safe and legal handling and shipping of HAZMAT, Dangerous Goods and other regulated materials for all inbound and outbound shipments, including proper separation, palletizing, loading and storage.  Responsible for processing all related hazardous and dangerous goods materials paperwork accurately and in a timely manner and distribution.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Verify, prepare, and process required documentation (e.g., Shipper's Declaration) for DG/HazMat shipments, ensuring compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
  • Inspect, label, package, and segregate dangerous goods in compliance with safety standards and warehouse procedures
  • Properly store hazardous materials and perform routine inspections of storage areas
  • Respond to hazardous material spills or leaks, implementing cleanup plans, and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct audits on dangerous goods before packaging to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and provide training to other team members on handling procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, plus 2+ years of warehouse or logistics experience
  • Valid Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Certification (e.g., DOT, IATA) preferred
  • Strong understanding of regulations, including hazardous waste management, labeling, and packaging requirements.
  • Forklift Certification may be required
  • The ability to maneuver 55-gallon drums for extended periods of time
