Position Summary

The Registrar's Office at the University of New Mexico School of Law seeks an energetic, detail-oriented and reliable Coordinator, Enrollment Services to perform a variety of activities, including, but not limited to: Responding to student inquiries regarding registration; Serving as primary processor of department email requests, transcripts and testing; Performing catalog coordination and curriculum changes utilizing online Curriculum Kuali; Using in-house database (SoLAR), Banner, and MyReports systems to record data and run reports; Coordinating and processing DESRs, updating webpages; Monitoring and updating student and academic records; Coordinating all examination processes and course evaluations. Providing policy interpretation and advisement as appropriate. Acting as a liaison with other internal and external departments, faculty, staff, and student organizations. May lead, guide, and train student employees.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with database management including SCT Banner and MyReports.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with the UNM campus enrollment processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of FERPA and UNM policies and procedures pertaining to confidentiality of student data and records, and UNM registration management.
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures pertaining to proper handling of sensitive and confidential records, student, employee and department information.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and make evaluative judgments.
  • Experience with UNM or other academic environment; prior registrar's office experience.
  • Familiarity with Access.
  • In person reliable attendance.


Additional Requirements
A limited amount of "blackout" dates occur during peak times such as mid-term and final exams, when scheduled leave is strongly discouraged and may not be approved due to academic priorities and coverage needs. Occasional, minimal weekend work (paid time) may occur a few times throughout the year during peak times.
