ABOUT VOORHEES UNIVERSITY
In celebration of its 125th year of existence on April 7, 2022, Voorhees College was renamed Voorhees University to honor founder, Elizabeth Evelyn Wight. Voorhees University is a private, diverse, historically black, coeducational, liberal arts, baccalaureate degree-granting institution affiliated with the Episcopal Church. Located in rural Denmark, South Carolina, the University serves traditional and nontraditional students primarily from South Carolina and the southeastern region of the United States; however, seeks to expand our reach both nationally and internationally. POSITION SUMMARY
Guided by the Presidential priorities and reporting directly to the Chief of Staff, the Coordinator of Global Education Programs and Services provides leadership, coordination, and administrative support for the University's international education initiatives. The position is responsible for supporting international students and scholars, coordinating international partnerships and study abroad programs, and advancing the University's global engagement efforts in alignment with its mission and strategic goals. The Coordinator serves as a key resource for international students, faculty, staff, and external partners and supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of international programs and services that enhance global learning, cultural exchange, and student success. The Coordinator for Global Education Programs and Services is responsible for advancing the University's global engagement priorities while ensuring full compliance with accreditation standards, federal immigration laws, and visa regulations. The Coordinator supports the recruitment, retention, and success of international students and scholars; coordinates study abroad and international partnership initiatives; and ensures institutional adherence to U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), SEVP, and visa compliance requirements. The position collaborates closely with academic affairs, enrollment management, student services, and external agencies to maintain accurate records, support audit readiness, and uphold best practices in international education. Consistent with HBCU global engagement priorities, the Coordinator promotes inclusive, culturally responsive programming that expands global access, fosters cross-cultural understanding, and advances equitable international opportunities aligned with the University's mission, accreditation expectations, and institutional effectiveness goals.

Position Type/Duration: Grant funded/Full-time/12 months
Position Schedule: 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday (extended hours, weekends, and travel may be required)
