Coordinator I - Fire Equipment Service
Scheduling & Routing Administrative Coordinator
Full-Time 40 hours per week
M-F, 8am-5pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming / outgoing calls for Fire Equipment
- Scheduling of daily routes for assigned technicians and dispatch service calls
- Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfactory solutions
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
- Provide accurate, valid, and complete information by using the right methods / tools
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions, and alternatives
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Additional tasks as needed to assist the department
- On-Call rotation option - once fully trained, can participate in on-call program for additional hours
Job Requirements:
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Excellent communication and presentation skills required to work with customers, technicians, sales personnel, and managers
- Must be able to multi-task & have multiple priorities
- Computer Literate – Typing 40 wpm minimum. Accuracy is essential.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel primarily)
- Google Maps, ability to pull directions
- Scheduling history
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Consistent and dependable attendance
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive Attitude
- Knowledge of Chicagoland area

- Physical requirements: ability to sit or stand for several hours at a time; move about the office with ease; ability to kneel, bend, squat, and balance; and lift or move up to 20-pounds
- Requires reliable sight, hearing, verbal communication and touch

Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Compensation & Benefits: Fox Valley Fire & Safety Co. offers competitive benefits, including comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance available on day one of hire. This role offers a starting pay range of $22-$24 per hour, paid in biweekly installments based on experience.
