Job Summary
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for performing material handling, inventory control, and warehouse-related activities to ensure inventory is maintained accurately and materials are delivered to the required areas in a timely manner. This position may also support Shipping and Receiving operations as needed.

Job Summary
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for performing material handling, inventory control, and warehouse-related activities to ensure inventory is maintained accurately and materials are delivered to the required areas in a timely manner. This position may also support Shipping and Receiving operations as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and accurately store them in the warehouse.
- Prepare orders accurately for shipment to customer sites in accordance with established processes.
- Label and meter packages using various freight and shipping systems.
- Process inventory and shipping orders using the SJM ERP system.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control activities.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment.
- Complete daily preparations for the following day's distribution activities.
- Assist with Shipping and Receiving functions as required.
- Follow established warehouse, inventory, safety, and operational procedures.
- Support divisional initiatives and comply with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required Qualifications
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, material handling, or Shipping and Receiving is preferred.
- Experience working with ERP or warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with freight/shipping systems is beneficial.
