POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supporting the Logistics Department activities in the movement of products throughout the supply chain, including import, export, domestic, and transportation functions. Tasks include import/export compliance and recordkeeping, shipment delivery/coordination/ tracking, and freight payment.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Coordinate and track shipments to and from foreign vendors, factories in Mexico, and warehouses including 3PL’s, by directing and advising customs brokers, forwarders, and carriers.
  • Audit/verify Customs entries and related invoices for compliance and accuracy, including proper HTS, country of origin and value declarations.
  • Create and maintain import files by entering shipment information into SAP and Excel, saving electronic files, organizing Customs documents and obtaining proof of delivery or receipt.
  • Submit and monitor Importer Security Filing (ISF) information for all Ocean imports.
  • Create export invoices and other documents, maintain electronic export files, and account for required export documentation.
  • Coordinate and track domestic shipments to and from warehouses, including 3rd party logistics companies and customers.
  • Code and process Customs Broker’s invoices, code carrier freight bills and maintain electronic copies of all invoices.
  • Gather information for reports on import, export or other logistics activities.
  • File and follow-up on marine cargo insurance claims.
  • Create, monitor and update work processes/procedures.
  • File Electronic Export Information (EEI) in ACE.
  • Meet import/export and transportation deadlines and reduce costs without compromising service quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency with Excel, knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Word
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in Import/Export and Transportation related activities
  • Understanding of Incoterms 2020 preferred

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $30.77/hr and $42.31/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
