Summary
Whatcom County is currently recruiting for a Coordinator II in Superior Court Administration.
Whatcom County Superior Court is an independent branch of government and personnel employed under the judicial branch of government. The positions are in accordance with GR 29. Under GR 29, the Presiding Judge is responsible for the daily operations of the Court, which includes working conditions, hiring, discipline, and termination decisions.
This position serves as the Water Adjudication Coordinator for Superior Court and is responsible for coordinating operational activities supporting the WRIA 1 Nooksack Water Adjudication proceeding. In addition to coordinating the day-to-day administration of the case, this position develops and implements administrative processes, conducts research and analysis, coordinates communication among stakeholders, and supports judicial officers and Court Administration throughout this complex, multi-year litigation.

Hours of work: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday
Salary Range:
Hiring rate depends on qualifications. This position receives annual pay increases to the next step in the associated salary range (apx. 3.8%) subject to satisfactory performance, in addition to any negotiated Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).
Qualifications
Requires an Associates degree in public administration, business administration, communications, legal studies, political science, or a closely related field AND two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in program coordination, project management, administrative operations, public administration, or a related field. OR an Associates degree in one of the above fields AND three (3) years of progressively responsible general office experience, including two (2) years of experience in program coordination, project management, administrative operations, or public administration.
Must pass a criminal justice level background check.
Must pass job-related tests.
