In this dynamic position, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of multiple educational programs, including monthly webinars and a large annual in-person symposium. Position Key Accountabilities:Plans, coordinates and manages the operations of the education office, which may include staff and equipment.Responsible for providing administrative and/or technical support in the development and evaluation of educational components, including but not limited to websites and grading systems.Assists course directors in the development of course syllabi and exams. Assists in the production of finished products, setting up and proctoring exams. Evaluates, modifies and updates testing procedures.May prepare, maintain, and monitor budget for Educational Programs Office, managing funds for equipment, training, office supplies, etc.Serves as liaison between faculty and administrative departments within the University to provide a smooth flow of information. Also liaison between faculty and students regarding grades and non-urgent issues. Identifies and alerts course directors and Chairman of possible course related issues to be resolved by faculty and/or department administration.Manage administrative needs of student teaching assistants including personnel issues, payroll and coordination of duties.Assists faculty in the development of educational materials using PowerPoint and other software as well as training faculty on the use of the programs on a laptop.Manages Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Education:Bachelor''s Degree in a related field required. Master''s Degree preferred. May substitute required education with equivalent years of experience beyond the minimum experience requirement.Minimum Experience:5 years related experience in an educational setting with one year in a lead or supervisory role required. Experience in classroom teaching preferred.Physical Requirements:Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.Security Sensitive:This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094.
