Position Purpose
Under the direction of the Director of Visual & Performing Arts, the Coordinator of Instrumental Music is responsible for assisting in the planning, assessment, implementation, curriculum and the coordination of the district's Instrumental Music Programs and related initiatives Supports campuses, Teachers, Principals, and District Service Center staff in implementing a coherent PK-12 strategy to support all learners with a focus on Fine Arts. Ensures that the Curriculum and Instruction practices are designed to close achievement and opportunity gaps throughout the District. . Ensures appropriate support is provided to campuses through department personnel.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university required;
Master's degree from accredited college or university required.
Certification/License:
Eligible for Valid Texas Teaching Certification required. Attainment of certification within six months is a condition.
Experience:
4-6 years' combined experience in education or project management, including significant fine arts teaching experience.
Approved Combinations:
Bachelor's degree; 6 years of experience
Master's degree; 4 years of experience
