Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree preferred. Four years of experience in a related field. Four years of teaching preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs highly complex administrative and supervisory program work coordinating activities for Rural Postsecondary and Economic Development (RPED) program to support individuals with disabilities transitioning to college and employment.

This is a full-time, temporary, benefits eligible, grant funded position expected to end on or before 09/30/2028. Continuation of this position is contingent upon continued funding.

Primary Responsibilities

Oversees, builds, and maintains positive partnerships with education service centers, local education agencies, institutions of higher education, and businesses and organizations related to the implementation of the Rural Postsecondary and Economic Development (RPED) program to support individuals with disabilities transitioning to college and employment. Includes travel. Identifies and communicates with students with disabilities and their families as potential program participants. Collaborates with the Director to develop and implement streamlined processes to transition from the identification of potential program participants to enrolled/ graduated/ employed participants. Develops, coordinates, implements, and oversees the implementation of services for individuals with disabilities to facilitate them successfully through the program. Develops, designs, and oversees the implementation of on-site and virtual training opportunities for program participants. Oversees the development of instructional design blackboard modules. Designs and oversees the implementation of participant assessments, individualized plans, and training for program participants. Collects and analyzes data, track metrics, and develops process improvement strategies. Confers with the director and staff regarding program issues. Develops and implements solutions. Recommends program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations. Oversees the developments of recruitment materials and program resources. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Ability to supervise business functions. Communicates with other university departments, personnel, and other agencies.
