Coordinator l, Property Accounting

The property accountant is responsible for processing fixed asset and lease invoices in a timely and accurate manner, completing journal entries and corresponding account reconciliations, and maintaining the fixed asset and lease accounting software.

Duties & Responsibilities

Process routine monthly rent payments for leased bakery cafés and support centers Audit and process year-end landlord reconciliations related to common area maintenance, real estate taxes, and other lease related charges Communicate with landlords to resolve outstanding issues/charges in a timely manner Complete monthly sales reporting, certified sales pulls, and process percentage rent payments for applicable locations Assist 3rd party real estate tax consultants with any requests or questions they may have Obtain the necessary information to set-up new landlords as vendors in Workday Review invoices and purchase orders to determine if they qualify as a capital expenditure and provide appropriate account coding Perform various asset maintenance including retiring obsolete assets and asset transfers Place assets in-service in timely manner at project completion Review invoices coded to expense to determine if a reclass to capital is necessary Communicate with the field and various departments within Panera for any Fixed Assets or Lease Accounting related needs Complete various functions related to period-end close for Lease Accounting and Fixed Assets including journal entries and account reconciliations

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree required - Accounting preferred.
• 1-2 year of experience in related field preferred.
• Ability to process a high volume of invoices and multi-task.
• Ability to use critical thinking to make decisions.
• Ability to communicate with many different levels of people in and outside the company. 
• Strong organizational and follow up skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills, especially in Excel.
• Ability to work well independently with expanding duties and responsibilities.
• Skilled in customer service and problem resolution.

Competitive pay $53,419 to $64,108 annually.

The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and geographical location. Individual compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
