The Logistics Coordinator is a self-starter with strong organizational, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills. Working in a fast-paced, customer and employee-oriented environment, this role is responsible for managing the transactions involved in the movement, tracking, reporting, and storage of railcars.

Roles & Responsibilities
Establish and maintain files and records related to railcar movements.
Manage customer and employee inquiries in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.
Prepare and distribute daily reports on yard inventory, railcar loading activity, and inbound/outbound traffic.
Prepare and distribute key performance indicator (KPI) reports.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to Planning Supervisors.
Complete month-end procedures, including operational estimates for car switching, storage, revenues, and expenses.
Participate in on-site and off-site customer meetings and engagements.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with managers, employees, customers, and stakeholders regarding routine and sensitive matters.
Work independently while demonstrating initiative, innovation, sound judgment, and strategic thinking.
Gather, analyze, and interpret information to identify essential business needs.
Prioritize workload effectively while managing multiple projects and conflicting deadlines.
Demonstrate proficiency with office software, spreadsheets, databases, and general accounting practices.
Possess knowledge of railcar movements and accounting procedures within a rail environment.
Education & Experience
Post-secondary certification in Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
2–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Rail, Refinery or a similar industry.
Experience with rail industry car inventory management systems is considered an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
Excellent communication skills.
