Position Title:Coordinator, Marketing and Communications
Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: $57,784.22

Location: Primarily based out of our Denver office at 711 Park Ave W, Denver, CO 80205. 3 days/week in office, 2 days/week remote

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary for this position is $57,784.22 annually. In an effort to increase equity and to avoid unfair bias historically associated with salary negotiations, we do not participate in salary negotiations outside of this stated starting salary range.

How You'll Help

The Coordinator, Marketing and Communications supports the day-to-day execution of Mile High United Way's marketing and communications efforts, such as content creation, asset development and coordination across print and digital channels as needs arise. This role helps produce marketing materials that support organizational goals while maintaining brand consistency and supporting the Marketing team's priorities and timelines. This position also supports storytelling initiatives through event coverage and maintenance of marketing assets and content libraries.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Write and produce content for print and digital channels, such as blog articles and marketing collateral, to support fundraising, donor engagement, program outreach and marketing campaigns
  • Write and build email marketing campaigns through Salesforce and related marketing platforms
  • Support website content updates to ensure information is accurate, timely and aligned with brand standards.
  • Create visual and digital assets in collaboration with the Manager, Graphic Design
  • Capture photos, video and interviews at Mile High United Way events and community activities to support storytelling and marketing efforts
  • Organize and maintain marketing assets, including story banks, content libraries, photo archives and related materials
  • Develop and write tailored content for social media platforms
  • Gather stories, photos and supporting materials from internal teams to support marketing content and campaign development
  • Support coordination and administrative tasks that contribute to marketing and communications priorities.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, content creation or a related support role
  • Experience creating content across digital and print channels preferred
  • Experience with digital marketing, email platforms, website content management systems or related tools preferred

Specials Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong written communication, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to create clear, audience-focused content across multiple channels
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow creative direction and maintain brand standards
  • Strong coordination and project support skills
  • Collaborative, proactive and detail-oriented work style
  • Experience capturing and organizing photos, video and content assets preferred
  • Working knowledge of digital content publishing best practices
  • Ability to adapt and learn new marketing platforms and tools

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of website content management systems (WordPress preferred)
  • Experience using social media platforms
  • Experience using content planning, collaboration and project management tools

Preferred Computer Skills:

  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience using design and content collaboration tools (Canva preferred)

Working Environment:Flexibility to attend organization events. Some events are evenings, weekends, and ability to attend the Mile High United Way Turkey Trot.

Physical Activities:Ability to provide personal transportation.
