Position Type: Full-timeLocation: Troy, New York, United StatesApplication closes: 2026-07-12Job SummaryCapital District Educational Opportunity Center seeks experienced, dynamic, capable, creative and caring individuals who would like to join our team and continue to build on decades of successful service to our community.Qualifications for EmploymentEducation: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; preferred in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field with finance or business emphasis.Three to five years of responsible experience in accounting, budget, or finance related services.Interpersonal communication, organizational, and supervisory skills required.Ability to work weekends and evenings.Knowledge of fiscal operations at a college or other educational institution preferred.Relevant master's degree and higher education accounting experience preferred.Managerial experience preferred in related areas such as HVAC, fire code, or maintenance management.Legal: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; appointment contingent upon completion of a background check.Nature and Scope of DutiesProvide fiscal oversight of the annual state operating budget and all grant-funded projects.Prepare and provide ongoing analysis of all fiscal reports.Assist the Executive Director and EOC Senior Staff in developing the Center, functional unit and budgets relative to state-funded projects.Supervise Business Services and Operations staff, including staff development, professional program development, performance and appraisals.Review operational protocols for security with security vendor, college public safety, and custodial staff.Oversee Center operations involving financial services, security, safety, physical plant, IT, and reception.Oversee effective operation and maintenance of all buildings, equipment, and systems, including housekeeping, maintenance, operations, contractual services, security, and proper care and upkeep of center facilities, health and safety, vehicles, infrastructure, and systems.Schedule room use for Center, execute setup and clean-up, and attend all events.Keep Executive Director and other EOC senior staff informed of departmental activities.Participate in the SUNY University Center for Academic and Workforce Development (UCAWD) Finance Committee and attend other related meetings as requested.Demonstrate strong communication skills, foster team-focused collaboration, and provide constructive, supportive leadership.Perform other duties as assigned.Compensation and BenefitsThis is a full‑time, 12‑month Non‑Teaching Professional position with a salary of $70,000.00 – $80,000.00.Health Insurance, Dental and Eye Insurance.Retirement plan.Free tuition waivers for employees and employees' spouses and children.Generous leave policy.Potential eligibility for the PSLF Program, which forgives the remaining balance on Direct Loans for employees of government or not‑for‑profit organizations.Hudson Valley Community College is an Affiant / Equal Opportunity Employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.#J-18808-Ljbffr
