SUMMARY
Position Summary
The Coordinator of Career & Community Engagement is responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating educational and workforce training opportunities that respond to the needs of students, community members, businesses, nonprofits, and community partners. The Coordinator serves as a liaison between James Sprunt Community College and the community to identify needs, strengthen partnerships, and develop programs and courses, including bilingual programs, that expand access to College resources and opportunities.
The Coordinator supports the daily operations and initiatives of the Center for Career & Community Engagement and collaborates with College departments, faculty, staff, businesses, and community organizations to advance the College's mission and strategic goals. This position reports directly to the Director of Career & Community Engagement.

Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Education/Skills
Required: Bachelors degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, written and verbal.
Preferred: Bachelors degree in Education, Workforce Development, Community Development, Economic Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
Required: Experience in the development and delivery of adult education programs and services.
Preferred: Experience working within a community college or higher education environment. Experience developing and delivering bilingual (Spanish/English) educational or workforce programs. Experience supervising adjunct instructors or coordinating instructional programs. Experience with grant-funded initiatives and workforce development partnerships.
