Coordinator Of Institutional Effectiveness

Henry Ford College presents an opportunity for Coordinator of Institutional Effectiveness. The Coordinator of Institutional Effectiveness advances institutional processes and practices that support student success through continuous improvementand efficient operations, as well as compliance with institutional accreditation standards. Reporting to the Director of Instiutional Research and Reporting the primary responsibilities include supporting institutional strategic planning, operational planning, outcomes measurement, and compliance with accreditation standards. Will be responsible for collaborating with faculty and program administration to align improvement efforts with college strategic initiatives, leading to positive and measurable impact on college programs.

The ideal candidate will have a career and experience that includes the following:

  • Demonstrated experience evaluating the quality and effectiveness of college-wide programs and services.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Working knowledge of Higher Learning Commission Criteria for Accreditation and institutional accreditation activities.
  • Working knowledge of current principles and procedures of higher education strategic and operational planning.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external constituencies and have the capacity to manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to tailor presentations and research findings to the needs of various constituencies.
  • The highest professional integrity and ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with College faculty, staff, and external partners.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Planning:

  • Ensure visibility of strategic planning efforts by maintaining a complete inventory of strategic planning initiatives, including information about the scope, goals, persons responsible, resources committed, and outcomes.
  • Oversee and maintain the College's cloud-based operational planning forms and database used for tracking and documenting operational planning initiatives.
  • Support the Cabinet with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the College's strategic and operational plans.

Accreditation:

  • Assist the Vice President of Strategy and Human Resources with Higher Learning Commission accreditation efforts, including evidence gathering, assurance argument writing and editing, and maintenance of records.
  • Serve on the College's Curriculum Committee, ensuring that all modifications to the institution's catalog are submitted timely to the Higher Learning Commission in accordance with their regulations and processes, including notification of new programs and substantive changes to existing programs.
  • Help monitor institutional compliance with Higher Learning Commission Criteria for Accreditation and Assumed Practices.

Effectiveness:

  • In collaboration with the Institutional Research and Business Intelligence team, design, develop, and implement strategies to assess and improve the quality and effectiveness of all areas of the College, and ensure strategic alignment and compliance with local, state, federal, and regional accreditation standards.
  • Oversee and facilitate the self-assessment process for student services units using the established institutional framework. This facilitation includes training and on-going process support for participating faculty and staff, dissemination of information, and compilation of final reports.
  • In collaboration with the Institutional Research and Business Intelligence team and Academic Affairs, coordinate completion of the biennial, State of Michigan-required Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment.
  • Convert data to information that can be readily understood and used as actionable knowledge. Guide faculty and staff in understanding the role of data in departmental reviews, decision-making processes, and quality improvement efforts.

Salary: The posted salary range reflects Steps 1-6. The full range includes Steps 1- 14 ($73,666.00-$111,369.00). Starting salaries are typically below the top of the range and are determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications. Work Eligibility: This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
