Brightpoint Community College invites applications for the Coordinator of New Student Onboarding position.

The Coordinator of New Student Onboarding is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and ongoing development of full- and part-time New Student Navigators. Working closely with the other managers in the Help Hub, the Coordinator will implement and oversee a holistic case management approach to support students throughout the onboarding process.

This position collaborates across student service areas, including Recruitment, Admissions and Records, Advising, and Financial Aid and Services, to ensure new students receive coordinated, timely, and comprehensive support. The coordinator will manage Navigator schedules and caseloads to promote prompt outreach and ensure that both in-person and online students are effectively served.

During peak enrollment periods, or when an assigned Navigator is unavailable, the Coordinator will provide direct assistance to new students to help maintain continuity of service and support.

The Coordinator of New Student Onboarding reports to the Director of Advising and Onboarding.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications

Significant experience serving students in a community college environment. Cultural competency with experience working with diverse populations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and SIS. Excellent written and verbal communication. Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of open-access community college and student success. Ability to effectively manage a diverse team of full- and part-time staff members. Passion for the Navigator onboarding model.

Additional Considerations

Master's degree. Significant supervisory experience. Experience in using Navigate to document student interactions and contact students. Expertise in student services including one or more of the following: college admissions, advising, financial aid/services, etc. Competency in customer relationship management (CRM) software.
