    The Coordinator of Student Programs is part of a team charged with developing programs and services designed to facilitate student involvement and enhance the overall student experience through campus programs and services. This position is responsible for advising the Campus Activities Board and coordinating and collaborating with the Campus Programming team to implement other traditional student activity programs.

    The Coordinator of Student Programs will supervise a graduate assistant and a team of undergraduate student employees.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Advise the Campus Activities Board (CAB). Advisement consists of playing an integral role in all operations, meetings, retreats, budgeting, and planning and implementation of CAB events

    • Coordinate and implement CAB signature events such as Fall Fest and Tigerfest. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to contact with entertainment agencies, negotiation of contractual agreements, and event logistics

    • Work collaboratively with members of the Campus Programming team to coordinate and implement traditional, signature programs

    • Supervise a campus programming graduate assistant

    • With the support of the graduate assistant, supervise a team of campus programming undergraduate student employees

    • Support department collaborative programming that meets diverse interests and needs

    • Assist the CAB in working with collaborative partners for events including, but not limited to Welcome to TU, Family Weekend, Homecoming, and other campus tradition events

    • Support the Assistant Director of Campus Programming with implementing and analyzing assessments and evaluations of Student Activities programs and services

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    The work hours for this position include some evenings and weekends. Occasional travel is required.

    Qualifications and Skills

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor''s degree

    • One year of relevant work experience

    • Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative and diverse setting

    • Ability to oversee projects and manage multiple priorities

    • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse and culturally pluralistic student population and campus community

    • Excellent problem-solving skills

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

    • Program development and management skills

    • Basic understanding of student development

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master''s degree

    • Knowledge and evidence of program planning experience

    Salary and Benefits

    Targeted hiring range is $54,000 - $56,000 and full university benefits that include 22 days of annual leave, up to 17 holidays, personal and sick days; excellent health, life, and retirement plans; and tuition remission.
