Coordinator of Student Success Technology

The Coordinator of Student Success Technology is responsible for integrating technology within the Student Success Center. This interdisciplinary position blends information systems, big data, and communication strategies. This position provides guidance on system capabilities and key features as they relate to the successful operations of the Student Success Center. This position develops technology workflows and provides training for new and existing users to improve service delivery and product function. Additionally, this position oversees tutoring technologies and AI-supported tutoring tools, supervises student tutors and peer educators, and supports the effective delivery, assessment, and continuous improvement of tutoring services.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 2 or more years of job related experience.

Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications

A master's degree in education or related area and one year of experience. Prior experience utilizing student information systems and retention software.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

A successful background check is required. Ability to possess a thorough knowledge of University Policy and Procedures and functions. Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to possess a high level of organizational and coordination skills. Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality and independent initiative and judgment. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Knowledge of educational practices and learning principles relevant to higher education environments.

Job Duties

Job Duty

Work within the Student Success Center to identify and prioritize technology needs to support student success and advising. Establish workflows and communication processes for optimal technology use. Works collaboratively with all academic advisors and Student Success Center personnel.

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty

Manage student cohorts and alerts in retention software (Starfish, Quad C, Mentor Collective). Implement chatbot campaigns and manage chatbot conversations (Mainstay).

Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty

Assess the effectiveness and utility of technologies related to outreach, intervention, and the student's academic experience. Assist with ongoing assessments of other initiatives. Stay current with emerging educational technologies and trends.

Foster a culture of innovation and technology integration within academic support services. Develop and deliver technology-related professional development programs for staff. Collaborate with other offices to ensure effective integration of technology. Ensure all technology-related policies and procedures are followed, including security and data privacy guidelines.

Supervise student interns, tutors, SI leaders, and other student employees. Coordinate tutoring and Supplemental Instruction (SI) services, including recruiting, training, scheduling; oversee tutoring software and AI-supported tutoring tools; manage session schedules and room reservations; and support effective academic assistance for students.
