Commuter Services' transportation demand management (TDM) office is developing transportation solutions that maximize the efficiency of our transportation system, leading to improved mobility, reduced congestion, and improved air quality. These strategies will inform and encourage our community to use transportation options using planning, programs, operations, policies, marketing, communications, incentives, pricing, data, and technology.
Behavioral change doesn't come easy, and the TDM program coordinator will support TDM efforts across multi-modal programs. Utilizing the transportation goals and implementation timelines, the coordinator will assist in the development, operation, and implementation of programs and services that reduce our single occupant vehicle (SOV) trips to campus. During program planning, the coordinator will help identify and forecast feasibility, value, and impact of programs in relation to our goals. In order to ensure program effectiveness, the coordinator will track metrics and provide feedback to help guide ongoing development and report progress. This position requires a moderate skill set and proficiency or ability to understand how these create a complete transportation system. Research, collaboration, and remaining current on transportation policies, best practices, and emerging technologies will be critical and supported by the department in order to select solutions that meet the needs of our community.
Responsibilities
1) Assists in the development, implementation, and operation of transportation programs and services.
2) Collects and analyses commute and transportation data.
3) Compiles reports for internal and external partners, as well as institutional reporting.
4) Reviews program effectiveness utilizing datasets and user feedback to track progress toward goals.
5) Participates in industry discussions and remains current with industry policies, standards, and emerging technology.
6) Identifies new opportunities and strategies in line with institutional interests and needs.
7) Collaborates with stakeholders for campus community outreach, education, and promotion of programs and strategies.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalency (2 years related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education) in a related area and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and effective communication skills required. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines. Ability to work independently, analyze, and make decisions to provide support to internal and external customers.

Preferences
Degree in transportation planning, public administration/policy, environmental and sustainability studies, or other field related to TDM.
