Responsibilities:

Plans, develops, organizes and directs daily operations of the Oncology Data Center in order to meet the goals and objectives of the oncology program. Responsible to ensure that oncology program data is compiled, analyzed and recorded in order to maintain certification by the American College of Surgeons and JCAHO.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED

 

  1. Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) or obtain within 12 months of hire date.
  2. Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) credential and/or (formerly known as) Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential from the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA)
  3. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  4. Knowledge of Medical terminology and anatomy.
  5. Knowledge of computers.
