About the Employer
The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) serves some of Orange County's most vulnerable student populations and provides support and mandated fiscal oversight to 28 school districts serving more than 600 schools and approximately 475,000 students. In addition to providing direct instruction to students through its own alternative and special education programs, OCDE administers an array of programs and services that are critical to the operations of local school districts and community colleges, facilitating professional development, legal guidance, payroll, career and technical education support, high-speed internet access, Local Control and Accountability Plan assistance and approval, resources for families, and student enrichment. OCDE's vision is that "Orange County students will lead the nation in college and career readiness and success." Job Summary
Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) is seeking a dynamic and collaborative Coordinator to lead countywide efforts that foster positive, inclusive, and equitable learning environments for students. In this leadership role, you will provide high-quality professional learning, coaching, and technical assistance to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to support the implementation and expansion of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Working collaboratively with educators, administrators, and community partners, you will drive continuous improvement through training, program development, compliance oversight, and strategic planning, helping schools strengthen student outcomes and school climate.

Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: • A Master's degree in education, education administration, behavior management, special education, applied behavior analysis, or a related field. • Five (5) years of educational experience, including two (2) years of administrative service in a public school setting. Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements: • A valid California credential authorizing instruction or services in a public school program. • A valid California Administrative credential may be required for some assignments.
