JOB GOALS: To support the Director of Preschool Programs in providing leadership for the Early Childhood Education Programs in the school, ensuring compliance with NAEYC standards, and assisting with OEC Registry, ECE Reporter, and Budgets.
CERTIFICATION/QUALIFICATIONS: OEC Supervisor Certification and CDA/BS required; Early Childhood Education Certification preferred
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Administration
Assist with operations of the Preschool.
Assist with recruiting and hire high-quality staff for the Preschool.
Supervise and evaluate staff.
Provide quality instructional leadership including organizing professional development.
Ensure compliance with NAEYC accreditation standards.
Oversees the Preschool tuition, waitlists and registration process.
Collaborate with community partners and organizations to enhance early childhood education.
Work in collaboration with the Special Education Department Leadership in creating and maintaining a cohesive and integrated department serving children aged 3-21, including transitions from Birth to Three and to Kindergarten.
Foster positive relationships with families and encourage engagement
Ensure compliance of Care for Kids requirements.
Oversee Sparkler, DOTS, and Creative Curriculum with the Director of Preschool Programs.
Assist with the Integrated related services such as speech and language, physical and occupational therapy.
Assist staff in planning and implementing classroom programs.
Support staff in the professional evaluation process in the OEC Registry.
Provide program and procedural orientation.
Confer with administrators periodically regarding programs, students, staffing, etc.
Share current information regarding research-based instructional practices and state and federal law.
Coordinate parent education programs regarding early childhood education and assist in understanding their childs needs.
Facilitate the identification of new early childhood education students and assist in appropriate placements for new referrals.
All other duties as assigned or requested by the Director of Preschool Programs, Superintendent or designee.
