Coordinator,Professional Practice

HCT seeks an experienced nursing professional to serve as the Interim Professional Practice Coordinator for a 200+ Bed-size hospital in MA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support Magnet and Pathway to Excellence initiatives, including organizational readiness and preparation
• Assess and support compliance with ANCC Magnet/Pathway requirements and readiness activities
• Develop, strengthen, and facilitate shared governance structures and nursing councils
• Advance nursing professional practice standards and initiatives across the organization
• Lead and support evidence-based practice (EBP) initiatives and integration into nursing practice
• Mentor, coach, and provide professional development support to nursing leaders
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to promote professional nursing practice

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: Demonstrated hands-on experience with Magnet and/or Pathway to Excellence, ANCC requirements/readiness, shared governance, nursing professional practice, and evidence-based practice
• Leadership Experience: Experience mentoring, coaching, and developing nursing leaders
• Clinical Experience: Strong acute care nursing background with progressive nursing leadership experience
• License: Active RN license
• Certifications: Relevant nursing leadership, professional practice, Magnet, or nursing excellence certifications preferred
• Computer Skills: EMR experience and proficiency with Meditech, Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Excel)
