To support this mission, we are seeking aCoordinator, Proposals & Marketing to join our team. In this role, you will support Barnes & Noble College's proposal development process by coordinating the preparation of responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other proposal opportunities. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Field Operations, and subject matter experts, you will develop and format proposal content, coordinate timelines and deliverables, and maintain proposal templates and supporting materials to ensure timely, accurate, and professional submissions that effectively communicate Barnes & Noble College's solutions and capabilities.

How You'll Make an Impact:
  • Coordinate the development and submission of Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other proposal responses.
  • Prepare, edit, and compile proposal content that accurately reflects Barnes & Noble College's products, services, and value proposition.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Field Operations, and subject matter experts to gather information and supporting content for proposal responses.
  • Format proposal documents using Adobe InDesign to ensure compliance with submission requirements, brand standards, and overall presentation quality.
  • Coordinate proposal timelines, communicate deadlines, follow up on deliverables, and escalate issues as needed to support timely submission.
  • Review proposal documents for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and consistency prior to submission.
  • Maintain and update proposal templates, standard responses, content libraries, FAQs, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure proposal materials remain current with changes to products, services, messaging, and branding.
  • Maintain familiarity with Barnes & Noble College's products, services, and proposal resources to support proposal development.
  • Maintain awareness of higher education trends and competitor information as they relate to proposal responses.
  • Support the development and maintenance of presentations, marketing collateral, and other business development materials, as assigned.
  • Additional responsibilities as required.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, proposal development, technical writing, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting formal proposal development processes, including RFIs and RFPs, preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Adobe InDesign required; Adobe Photoshop experience is a plus.
  • Strong written, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.

 

Please Note: This is a hybrid role requiring in-office attendance three (3) days per week at our Florham Park, NJ headquarters.  Applicants must be within a commutable distance, as relocation assistance will not be provided.

The hiring range for this position is $23 - 25 per hour. This range represents the base salary only, in good faith at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
