Job Description

The Coordinator-Quality Assurance ensures that system laboratory operations are in compliance with the Quality Management System policies/procedures, applicable regulatory/accreditation agency standards and Safety Plan. Conducts scheduled audits, including effectiveness checks. Identifies and investigates non-conformances, follows-up with responsible departments. Supports the execution of improvement initiatives, measures and programs related to process improvement, quality, compliance, service management, and customer satisfaction. While working independently, continues to work effectively with teams in order to collaborate with OCAQ management and peers. Supports decisions and performs services necessary to meet the needs of the organization's patients, medical staff, management and employees.

Location: Remote with a home base at Path Lab 305 West 11th Street Indianapolis. Needs to be open to going to all the labs in the IU health system to perform audits.

Shift: Full time, Days

  • Bachelor's of Science in Medical Technology or scientific health-related discipline; License/certification preferred.
  • Ability to acquire knowledge in performing audits; must have understanding of applicable regulations/guidelines to interpret audit findings.
  • Requires knowledge of all laboratory safety regulations and protocols.
  • Requires (4) years of relevant experience; Experience in Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes; Experience creating and maintaining policies/procedures.
