Job Summary

This Coordinatoris a member of the Research & Insightsteam and reports to Vice President, Research & Insights. The Research & Insights department includes the Data Science, Consumer Insights, and Content Research & Evaluation teams. The Coordinator’s work will provide support to the Research & Insights department, providing the necessary forward-facing insights to support Sesame Workshop’s mission to help children grow smarter, stronger, and kinder. The Coordinator will also provide administrative and organizational support to VP, Research & Insights as well as the Data Science, Consumer Insights, and Content Research & Evaluation teams as needed.


Responsibilities & Delivery

This Coordinatoris a member of the Research & Insightsteam and reports to Vice President, Research & Insights. The Research & Insights department includes the Data Science, Consumer Insights, and Content Research & Evaluation teams. The Coordinator’s work will provide support to the Research & Insights department, providing the necessary forward-facing insights to support Sesame Workshop’s mission to help children grow smarter, stronger, and kinder. The Coordinator will also provide administrative and organizational support to VP, Research & Insights as well as the Data Science, Consumer Insights, and Content Research & Evaluation teams as needed.

Delivery

  • Coordinate the maintenance and expansion of the research participant recruitment listserv and help develop, program, and recruit for surveys
  • Supports VP, Research & Insights with administrative tasks, including meetings, partner management, and research-related event coordination
  • Manages Research & Insights contract and invoicing processes, with support from team leaders
  • Assist with preparation of internal and external written communications and presentations, including formatting, proofreading, and factchecking
  • Supports projects, primary and secondary data collection, and data management
  • Provide team with latest trends in kids’ media landscape with guidance from team leaders
  • This role may perform other related duties as needed to support team and organizational priorities

Engagement

  • Manages preparation of external and internal meetings and conference calls, ensuring they are planned and run smoothly and effectively by managing invites and conference call details, organizing meeting logistics, preparing meeting materials, preparing minutes and actions, coordinating follow-up, and booking facilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, Educational Psychology, Media & Communication, Market Research, or other relevant disciplines
  • 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field, supporting research, education, or similar projects
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, handle a heavy, diverse workload, and work closely with coworkers
  • Strong organizational and communication skills: the ideal candidate is detail-oriented, results-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong time management skills and ability to proactively manage others’ time when necessary
  • Proactive team player with an ability to spot inefficiencies and propose solutions
  • A willingness to work across cultural contexts and across time zones
  • Curious mindset and desire to understand the reasons behind the facts


Sesame Workshop Hybrid Work Policy

This position is based at our headquarters office in New York (Manhattan) at 1900 Broadway, New York, NY, and follows a hybrid work model. In-office requirements vary by role and employee group, and currently range from two to five designated in-office days per week.
