Description
The Coordinator, Retention and Specialized Populations is responsible for providing comprehensive support and guidance to specific student groups to enhance their academic success, persistence, completion, and transfer. This position will require skill in developing and facilitating appropriate programming using a proactive and empathetic approach and a focus on early intervention, skills development, student support, and connections to campus resources.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Required: Bachelor's degree required in psychology, student affairs/higher education, human services or other appropriate area; Master's degree in similar areas preferred.
Experience Required: Minimum of two years' experience coordinating student activity programming for college age populations.
Preferred Experience: previous work with program planning and support for underrepresented, high need student populations and / or neurodiverse students

Additional Information
INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:
Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
