Summary:

This position requires a person with computer knowledge, who is able to work under pressure and demonstrate competency in the electronic scheduling and payroll system, maintenance of related records for time keeping, and auditing and approval of payroll for assigned departments. Collaborate with department managers/supervisors in the staffing process. Utilization of attendance scheduling system with related maintenance of content areas. Audits time and attendance on a daily basis for patient care service departments. Assist Nurse Managers, Directors and Administrative Nursing Supervisors in biweekly scheduling and day to day staff scheduling operations. Processes reports, as requested, for schedules, attendance, and absenteeism management. Contacts respective leaders and managers with data and suggestions for improvement of staffing, scheduling efficiencies and improving attendance outcomes.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma
  • Associates Degree in Business, Project Management, Healthcare or Related Field preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Three (3) years office experience preferred
  • Previous payroll and scheduling expertise preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to achieve timeframes
  • Ability to enter schedules accurately
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in high stress situations.
  • Knowledge of staffing principles in healthcare facility
  • Knowledge of staffing grids
  • Knowledge of an electronic payroll and scheduling system
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
