Job Summary: The Coordinator, Transportation and Logistics is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and operational oversight of the College's Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training programs. This position ensures high-quality instruction, regulatory compliance, and program growth through effective supervision of instructional staff, strategic partnerships with industry, and efficient management of resources. The Coordinator plays a key role in workforce development by aligning training programs with regional employer needs and supporting student recruitment, retention, and completion.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years experience.*Or a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Such as those listed

Licensing Requirements:

Valid CDL license (Class A preferred) with a clean driving record.

Hiring Range: $57,469-$64,500

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or CDL training.

Prior supervisory or leadership experience.

Knowledge of CDL regulations and workforce training requirements.

Experience in a community college or workforce development environment.

Experience developing contract training or employer partnerships.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Job Specific Task List:

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of CDL training programs, including scheduling, delivery, and evaluation. - (Essential)
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, ensuring efficient use of instructors, facilities, and equipment. - (Essential)
  • Monitor program performance, including enrollment, completion rates, and student outcomes. - (Essential)
  • Ensure alignment of training programs with workforce demands and institutional priorities. - (Essential)
  • Supervise, support, and evaluate CDL instructors, instructional staff, and admin support staff - (Essential)
  • Coordinate instructor assignments and schedules to meet program needs. - (Essential)
  • Provide onboarding, training, and professional development opportunities for instructional staff. - (Essential)
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with transportation, logistics, and related industry employers to customize training solutions and ensure program relevance. - (Essential)

  • Oversee the maintenance, safety, and utilization of training equipment, including vehicles and simulation tools. - (Essential)
