Job Descriptions - Human Resources Department Revised on 9/21/2026 Position: Treasury Coordinator Department/Campus: Central Office / Finance Reports to: Treasury Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Role/ Salary Band: Band 5 Job Type: Full Time Work Hours / Days: Normal School hours / 215 days JOB GOAL The Treasury Coordinator is responsible for supporting Treasury and Finance operations by maintaining accurate financial records and performing accounting activities related to capital assets, depreciation, investments, bonds, and other treasury transactions while ensuring compliance with applicable financial policies and procedures. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university o Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) o Minimum 1 year of professional experience in the field (preferred) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: o Understands and supports the mission, vision and values of Harmony Public Schools. o Performs accounting and treasury activities in accordance with established policies and procedures. o Prepares and records journal entries for accounting and treasury-related transactions. o Maintains accurate capital asset records, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation. o Reconciles capital asset records with the general ledger and maintains supporting schedules. o Assists with the accounting and reconciliation of bond and investment transactions. o Records and maintains supporting documentation for investment activity, bond transactions, interest, and related financial activities. o Performs bank, investment, capital assets, and other account reconciliations. o Maintains accurate and organized financial records and supporting documentation. o Assists with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities. o Prepare reports, schedules, and other financial documentation as needed. o Collaborates with central office personnel, district personnel, and other stakeholders to obtain and verify financial information. o Assists with internal and external audit requests. o Performs other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: o Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits, journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. o Ability to analyze financial transactions and apply appropriate accounting treatment. o Ability to maintain accurate financial records and support schedules. o Strong analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills. o Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines. o Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms with all levels of management, both internal and external to the district. o Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the district. o Ability to use computer including software, database used by the district, spreadsheet and word processing software, calculator, copy machine and telephone. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: o Light Work: may require occasional light lifting. o Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required. o Position is in office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location. o Moderate travel is required.
