Schedule : This is a salaried position with the typical work shift of 8a-4:30p but must have a flexible schedule to be able to work occasional evenings and weekends when needed. Job Summary and Qualifications Provide strategic support and partnership with local schools to promote coordinator efforts around recruitment and retention of all staff strengthening of academic partnerships. What will you do in this role : Build and maintain strategic relationships with high schools, colleges, universities, and community organizations to establish and strengthen healthcare education and workforce pipelines. Develop and coordinate student programs, internships, job shadowing and career exploration opportunities that introduce students to healthcare careers to develop the next generation of healthcare professionals.. Partner with hospital leadership, Human Resources, and academic institutions to identify staffing needs and develop targeted programs that create pathways from education into hospital employment. Lead the recruitment, onboarding, placement, scheduling, engagement, and retention of hospital volunteers, ensuring volunteer resources align with organizational and departmental needs. Develop and implement volunteer programs and initiatives that enhance the patient and family experience while providing meaningful and rewarding opportunities for community members to serve. Monitor and evaluate student and volunteer programs, using participation, recruitment, retention, and workforce outcomes to strengthen programs and identify new opportunities for growth. What qualifications you will need: Bachelors Degree required 3 + years of relevant experience working with volunteer and student programs preferred Working knowledge of key metrics related to recruitment and retention Knowledge of current trends and best practices relevant to services provided by hospitals, medical staff and academic markets. Experience with staffing, scheduling and operations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to plan and manage projects, including assigned personnel or resource demands to meet deadlines and budget.
