As a Copper Braze Assembly Fabricator at Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC), you’ll join a mission-driven, employee-owned manufacturer advancing evaporative cooling, thermal storage, and heat transfer technologies. You’ll collaborate with a cross-trained assembly team and grow your technical mastery over time.

Your impact

Core responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and dimensional drawings to plan each assembly and braze sequence.
  • Braze (bond) copper components using single- and dual-tip oxy-fuel torches to support final coil assembly.
  • Guide torch and rod along joints to reach brazing temperature; melt alloy and create strong bonds.
  • Clean joints, inspect results, and re-braze defects; melt/separate joints with a hand torch to correct misalignment or damage.
  • Connect hoses to regulator valves; choose torch tips, fluxes, and brazing alloys using data charts or the work order.
  • Measure with calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures; apply accurate basic math.
  • Assemble mechanical supports per standard work; eliminate risk of damage by working safely and conscientiously.
  • Achieve daily output targets; maintain 5S; organize and replenish the work area.
  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements; rotate to other work cells as needed; support team success.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Six (6) months of related experience in brazing/welding with single- and dual-tip oxy-fuel torches.
  • Proficiency reading prints and using precision measurement tools.
  • Detail orientation, strong hand‑eye coordination, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
