Job Summary:

As a Copywriter in the Video Services group, you will help shape how customers discover and engage with original shows and movies on a leading streaming platform. This role focuses on creating compelling, customer-facing copy and editorial content that brings entertainment content to life. The ideal candidate is a highly organized writer and editor with strong marketing copywriting skills and a deep interest in TV, movies, entertainment, and pop culture.

Key Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional writing/copywriting experience.
• Strong experience as a writer and editor, preferably within TV, movies, entertainment, streaming, or digital media.
• Experience creating marketing copy, email copy, digital content, and customer-facing messaging.
• Ability to manage accelerated timelines, shifting priorities, and multiple deliverables.
• Experience collaborating with Marketing, Product, Design, and other cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong editing, proofreading, and content refinement skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic, highly organized Copywriter to create and refine customer-facing messaging for a leading streaming platform. The role will focus on writing compelling copy that supports original shows and movies and helps customers discover and engage with entertainment content.

The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and skilled editor who can translate creative ideas into clear, engaging, and customer-focused messaging. You will collaborate with Marketing, Product, Design, and other teams to ensure the copy reflects the appropriate voice, tone, and creative vision.

The role requires someone who can think strategically while also being highly hands-on with the details of writing, editing, and proofreading. The candidate should be an excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and a passion for TV, movies, entertainment, and pop culture. Experience writing content descriptions, synopses, promotional messaging, or other entertainment-focused copy is highly valuable.

Must-Haves:

• 8+ years of professional copywriting/writing experience.
• Strong marketing copywriting experience.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience creating email and digital/customer-facing copy.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Streaming service experience.
• TV, film, entertainment, or digital media experience.
• Experience writing synopses, content descriptions, or promotional copy.
• Experience with streaming platforms.
• Writing samples or portfolio.
• Experience partnering with Marketing, Product, and Design teams.
