Copywriter, NOYZ

Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid, 1-2 days on-site)
Reports to: SVP, Marketing 
Salary Range: $40-$60/hr (Part-time & DOE)

The 30,000 Foot View:

At NOYZ, we move fast, think big and play where culture is created – not copied.  This is a team that moves fast, embraces creative freedom and storytelling, while having fun doing things differently.  After a breakout year of explosive growth, we are looking for a Part Time Copywriter to join our team.  

This person will partner closely with our Brand/Product Marketing,Ecomm, Product Deveopmentand Creativeteams, translating product and brand launches and campaigns into distinctive language across campaigns, product launches and everyday communications. From attention-grabbing headlines to fragrance storytelling, they'll create copy that sparks curiosity, drives action and feels unmistakably NOYZ.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Brand Voice & Storytelling 

• Bring the NOYZ voice to life through distinctive, memorable language that translates brand strategy, product benefits, and fragrance into compelling consumer storytelling
• Help evolve NOYZ's tone of voice and maintain a shared library of approved messaging, vocabulary, and copy examples
• Create evocative fragrance and product storytelling that makes scent notes, formats, textures, and benefits easy to understand and desire

Campaign & Channel Copy  

• Partner with cross functional teams to develop campaign concept copy, headlines, taglines, and narratives across launches, seasonal moments, and evergreen initiatives
• Carry campaign stories from tease through sustain, adapting messaging across each phase and consumer touchpoint
• Write compelling copy across email, SMS, paid and organic social, website, product pages, and retail, including headlines, subject lines, CTAs, and copy variations
• Collaborate with designers to ensure copy and visuals work together seamlessly from concept through final execution
• Collaborate with the Ecomm team to react to test and learn and adapt copy accordingly  

 Editorial Ownership 

• Own assigned copy projects from brief through final delivery, managing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder feedback
• Self-edit and proofread for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to approved product claims and terminology

TheMust-Haves:  

• 2+ years of copywriting experience in-house, at an agency, or freelance.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating campaign thinking, distinctive brand voice, and high-performing digital and product copy
• Strong storytelling instincts, with the ability to turn sensory or technical product information into clear, compelling consumer language.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detai
• Ability to work independently across multiple briefs, manage deadlines, and respond thoughtfully to feedback
• Experience in fragrance, beauty, fashion, or lifestyle is a plus; curiosity about fragrance and culture is essential
• Willingness to attend relevantmeetings virtually or preferably, IRL in El Segundo
• Availability to work between 15-29 hours a week based on team needs
