Tesla Energy is seeking a Copywriter to join our growing Global Content Team in Palo Alto, CA. Reporting to the Sr. Copywriter, you will support copywriting needs for our products across a range of formats.
As a Copywriter, you will be responsible for upholding the Tesla tone of voice in all customer-facing content. This requires exceptional writing skills, deep knowledge of English grammar and syntax and the ability to write copy that makes even the most complex products easy to understand.
You take a proactive, detail-oriented approach to your work and respond well to feedback. You are comfortable managing multiple projects under tight timelines and are always looking to better understand how your writing supports broader business and brand goals.
- Write and support ongoing, product-focused content, including customer communications, email campaigns and learn articles
- Provide urgent, ad hoc copy support as needed, delivering quality copy under tight deadlines
- Proofread, edit and validate all copy for product, tone and legal accuracy
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including design, sales, product and engineering teams, to align messaging with product features and design visions
- Translate technical features and capabilities into clear messaging for customers and partners
- Proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, adhering to deadlines and communicating milestones to project partners
- Brainstorm creative ways to reach and engage with customers
- Bachelor s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or 3+ years of equivalent experience in a fast-paced environment
- AP Style expert with excellent copywriting, editing and organizational skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, sales, product and marketing
- Ability to take direction and be flexible through changes in strategy and creative direction
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and priorities at once with a can-do attitude
- Comfortable asking questions and taking the time to understand new subject matter before you write
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines on time, at quality and within scope

Expected Compensation
$72,000 - $144,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
