Job Title: Mechanical Assembler – Industrial Radiators (2nd Shift)

Job Description

This role focuses on assembling the cores of industrial radiators in a fabrication and assembly shop environment. You will work primarily in the core assembly area, operating machinery, handling metal components, and collaborating closely with a partner to build high-quality radiator cores for warehouses, production facilities, and data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble the cores of industrial radiators in the core assembly area according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Operate a slitting machine by loading spools of various metals, monitoring operation, and ensuring the machine runs smoothly without jamming.
  • Work in teams of two to assemble radiator cores, using a handle to guide and insert metal pipes through core sheathing.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings to complete mechanical assembly tasks accurately.
  • Use power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to support core assembly and related mechanical tasks.
  • Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure components meet required specifications.
  • Handle materials and components safely, including the use of overhead cranes where required.
  • Support solder dipping of cores as part of the assembly process, following safety and quality guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the assembly and fabrication shop.
  • Communicate effectively with the Assembly Supervisor and team members to coordinate workflow and address any issues with machinery or assembly processes.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of assembly or machine operation experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience using power tools in an industrial or mechanical setting.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for precise measurements.
  • Mechanical assembly skills with the ability to work with metal components and assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Experience operating or working around overhead cranes.
  • Comfort working in a team-based environment, particularly in pairs, to complete core assemblies.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a mechanical assembler in an assembly and fabrication shop.
  • Familiarity with building or assembling large industrial equipment or components.
  • Experience in environments that produce equipment for warehouses, production facilities, or data centers.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in all assembly tasks.
  • Willingness to work in warm conditions and around solder dipping operations.

Why Work Here?

You will join a clean, organized, and growing industrial operation that is investing in future-focused products, particularly radiators for data centers. The organization offers the opportunity to work with modern fabrication and assembly processes while contributing directly to products used in critical facilities such as warehouses, production plants, and data centers. You will benefit from a structured environment with clear supervision, teamwork, and the chance to develop your mechanical and machine operation skills in a stable, long-term setting. Pay starting at $21.50/hr.

Work Environment

This position is based in an assembly and fabrication shop that builds industrial radiators for warehouses, production facilities, and data centers. You will work on 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. The facility is clean and organized but not temperature controlled, and it can become hot in the summer, especially in the core area where solder dipping takes place. You will work with slitting machines, power tools, overhead cranes, and other mechanical assembly equipment under the guidance of an Assembly Supervisor. The environment emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient production in a hands-on industrial setting.
