Core/Coil Stacker

Summary:

• Location: Nacogdoches, TX
• Shift: 3rd Shift
• Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00pm-6:30am

Responsibilities:

• Use defined procedures, bills of materials, and equipment to assemble various sizes of transformers and related sub-assemblies.
• Rework damaged or defective component parts and complete assemblies.
• Perform work in various work centers including bake oven, coil hot press, core/clamp, T.T.R testing, low voltage welding/finishing, lead press, and stacking.
• Load cores and coils onto stacking line, stack core around the legs of the coils, and apply steel banding strap to core clamp the assembly.
• Operate TIG welder to weld L.V. leads and crossovers, follow hookup diagrams for assembly connections, and test each finished unit using TTR tester.
• Based on shipping schedule, identify and scan units for oven loading sequence and load units into core/coil bake oven.
• Weld lead assemblies as required for future orders, using provided scheduling documents and bills of materials.
• Scrap unusable or overstock materials and parts.
• Inspect tools for damage and perform routine upkeep on tools and equipment.
• Utilize various manual and powered hand tools and simple measuring devices.
• Manually handle material in the medium-heavy weight range.
• Operate hoist and other material handling equipment; may operate powered industrial truck.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and housekeeping practices and company policies and procedures.
• Attend work on a regular basis.

Requirements:

• No education is required, but must have the ability to read and understand written communications including basic operating instructions.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Perform job safety analysis and follow production schedules.
• Perform close vision work, bend and stoop frequently, and stand and walk constantly.
• Use hands and upper extremities to perform tasks of a repetitive nature.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
