Summary: Location: Nacogdoches, TX Shift: 3rd Shift Work Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00pm-6:30am Responsibilities: Use defined procedures, bills of materials, and equipment to assemble various sizes of transformers and related sub-assemblies. Rework damaged or defective component parts and complete assemblies. Perform work in various work centers including bake oven, coil hot press, core/clamp, T.T.R testing, low voltage welding/finishing, lead press, and stacking. Load cores and coils onto stacking line, stack core around the legs of the coils, and apply steel banding strap to core clamp the assembly. Operate TIG welder to weld L.V. leads and crossovers, follow hookup diagrams for assembly connections, and test each finished unit using TTR tester. Based on shipping schedule, identify and scan units for oven loading sequence and load units into core/coil bake oven. Weld lead assemblies as required for future orders, using provided scheduling documents and bills of materials. Scrap unusable or overstock materials and parts. Inspect tools for damage and perform routine upkeep on tools and equipment. Utilize various manual and powered hand tools and simple measuring devices. Manually handle material in the medium-heavy weight range. Operate hoist and other material handling equipment; may operate powered industrial truck. Ensure compliance with all safety and housekeeping practices and company policies and procedures. Attend work on a regular basis. Requirements: No education is required, but must have the ability to read and understand written communications including basic operating instructions. Manufacturing experience preferred. Perform job safety analysis and follow production schedules. Perform close vision work, bend and stoop frequently, and stand and walk constantly. Use hands and upper extremities to perform tasks of a repetitive nature. Wear appropriate PPE. Preferred Skills: Abide by company Philosophy and Values.
