What You Will Do:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Graduate Medical Education (GME) Core Faculty Physician to join an employed position within a growing residency program at Ascension Milwaukee Hospitals. This role offers a highly rewarding blend of direct clinical practice, resident mentorship, and academic development.

  • Mentor the Next Generation: Serve as a core educator and clinical supervisor, teaching and mentoring residents to foster a culture of academic excellence, continuous learning, and professionalism.
  • Deliver Exemplary Care: Evaluate and treat a diverse patient panel with precision, using advanced diagnostic and treatment skills to model top-tier clinical behavior for physicians-in-training.
  • Lead Academic Contributions: Participate actively in residency curriculum development, clinical rotations, and scholarly activities or research to support the program’s academic mission.
  • Drive Quality & Value: Partner with medical staff and residency leadership to design and implement cost-effective care strategies that directly improve patient safety and hospital outcomes.
  • Document Excellence: Capture the patient care journey with precision, maintaining high-quality medical records that meet all compliance standards and serve as an educational roadmap for the team.

Additional Preferences

  • Board Certification/Eligibility: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in their respective medical specialty.
  • Licensure: Eligible for an unrestricted Wisconsin state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Core Competencies: A strong desire to teach and lead is essential; prior experience as clinical faculty or in resident education is highly valued.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. 
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
